So i have gotten a t490 just recently, and ive installed fedora on it, gnome power profiles daemon said it was “on my lap” and wouldn’t let me change the power profiles even when on a desk. So i masked that, and installed auto-cpufreq, but the laptop still draws about 10W (according to powertop) when watching a youtube...

I’m currently trying to find a remote job opportunity which relates to Linux and tech, but companies seem to be using the worst websites iminaginable to receive resumes....

I just started noticing it like half an hour ago. I’m fairly new to this OS, so I have no idea where to look for any logs or anything....

The first obvious answer may be the one you are comfortable with but that may be none for a new computer/ linux user....

The audio dialog of KDE seems to detect that, as does not mark it as not connected (which it does for the front mic and line in).
