I believe it’s because vanilla chromium doesn’t come with widevine or any of the closed source DRM binaries. Raspberry Pi org takes a pretty strong stance on open source.
It doesn’t have to be Chromium, but asserting that Firefox is the only browser that respects your privacy is just untrue. Edit: I use FF and Brave for different browsing, as some websites just don’t like FF.
I don’t specifically mean the goDaddy site, I mean some sites that have gotten there certs from goDaddy won’t work. It will give an ssl error. I believe it is their wildcard cert specifically.
16 years on Reddit and probably waiting the last 10 for a decent alternative. It wasn’t hard at all. I do go back sometimes to debunk Lemmy FUD though.
Kids these days are so weak. Back in my day, Uncle sam would tell you to fight a war in a moment’s notice. I like it. I’m not the target demographic for the genre of porn but having it there makes lemmy feel wild and free and unfiltered. Admittedly I can’t help but take a peek.
If I had to change anything it would be more news.
It reminds of the old days on r/all on reddit before they removed all the porn from it. I fondly remember scrolling like 70 pages deep on r/all and finding all sorts of weird posts
