Just finished binging the 12 Monkeys TV show, thats just variations on an oops loop. If you seduce Hitlers mom you’ll just end up being the father figure he never met. If you strand him in Nepal then either Hitler or any Austrian who witnesses you doing the timey-wimey dance will just blame an international cabal of time traveling Jews for it.
I mean, if gold is massively devalued. Don’t think it’d ever be worth less than leaves, but given its actual useful properties (as opposed to its arbitrary use as a currency) gold’s value should be a lot lower than it is.
LOL this reminds me of the numerous news articles that kept saying how Mastodon wouldn’t scale and how it would never take off. The most ridiculous one: “Mastodon is crumbling”. (We’re over 13 million users right now.)
As far as I can tell there isn’t actually that much? The only instance that really hosts it front and center is lemmyNSFW, and thats pretty small compared to most other spots
