Fallout: NV and Skyrim. People kept recommending them to me but neither really clicked. I put about 20 hours into each before just kinda dropping them and not looking back. Even tried mods since everyone says they’re better modded, but just found I was spending more time modding the games than playing them. Maybe Bethesda games just aren’t my thing.
No way am I going to pre-order a game in this era of half baked releases and especially not a game from Bethesda which is as well known for their rampant bugs as their compelling gameplay
I have been playing a lot of BotW and DRG on it. Playing BotW on it is amazing, for DRG or mainly any shooter on it there is the problem of me not being used to aim with the gyro properly yet.
I’ll always have a soft spot for Minecraft and it’s open world base building goodness.
If you want “Minecraft, but more grown up,” I can’t recommend Vintage Story enough. It’s actually an offshoot of a survival modpack for Minecraft if I recall correctly. A more involved crafting system (i.e. knapping tool heads out of stone, casting and forging metal tools, etc) and a threatening winter make for a very fun survival game. Still in active development with a pretty good pace of new content regularly, and a lively mod scene.
unrelated but i think it’s really funny that both cities skylines 2 and counter strike 2 are being talked about around the same time, thus both get CS2
Unless they try to push the creation club by blocking mods and thus community patches,
It wont be nearly as bad.
A lot of the issues with 76 stem from it being a multiplayer game.
The multiplayer aspect prevented mods& community bugfixes, and caused Cheaters & p2w.
Buggy messes are honestly what Bethesda’s already known for, so unless they are foolish enough to block the unofficial patches,
Its gonna be a somewhat decent release even if it won’t live up to the hype.
I still wouldn’t be caught dead preordering anything Bethesda made,
But it certainly won’t be as disastrous as 76
Few questions remain: Will it dethrone Jedi Survivor as worst performing game? Will it surpass Redfall in it’s emptyness? Does it have a chance fighting LOTR Gollum in “Most 2023ish game of the year”? Or will it truly be a Masterpiece? (Hint: Masterpieces don’t get released in 2023).
We will find out at release. Together with those that preorderd.
