Is there a way to subscribe to a post/comment of others to get notifications for new comments? If it’s currently not available, is it being worked on?

This noob is testing the interconnectivity of the #Fediverse, with the AP (Mastodon, etc.) and AT (Bluesky) Protocol protocols, and also starting to test #Nostr this week....
A lot of people have talked about the possibility of forking Mastodon to get the many improvements their communities need. Making such an effort successful is another discussion entirely.
I like the concept of the iOS/Android app BeReal. Your app tells you randomly during the day that you have to take a combined picture (frond and back camera). So you don’t have much time to prepare. Then this pic is uploaded and friends who follow you can see it....
Since big part of the web is drowning in AI junk, including Reddit, is there a good search engine to find answers in the fediverse?

A popular way of dealing with discussions, and familiar to most people, I assume. As far as I see it, adding a poll system to Lemmy is a good way to enhance user engagement. I’m not really aware if this has been a topic before or not, tried looking it up but didn’t see much juice on the topic, so thought I’d spark it up....
