TLDR: the article says , lemmy is confusing , too broken and kinda unusable coz servers run on whims....

Sorry, I stopped using Reddit for way less than what people in the fediverse have done....

I am considering creating my own lemmy instance as my current instance (lemmy.world) is often down, and I enjoy this kind of a project. That being said I haven’t been able to find any resources on hw needed for this? If I have a raspberry pi 4b 8g with 128gb is that enough for just me using it? Do I need to pay for a cloud...

Communities on different instances about the same topic should have the option to essentially federate so a post on one appears on all of them and opening any of them shows you the comments from all of them. On the Lemmy specific front, Active daily users seems to still be stabilising following the exodus from elsewhere, Comments and Posts both seem to be on the rise though – promising stats all in all.
