I started moving from Reddit to Lemmy a few days ago, and since then I’ve been forcing myself to spend time here and getting myself used to it. I quickly checked the list of popular instances and decided to join lemmy.world and not beehaw because I didn’t like their decision of defederating other big lemmy instances....

Micro.Blog is an IndieWeb platform with microblogging capabilities that marries a social experience with a more traditional personal website / blogging concept. They’re doing some really wild stuff trying to wrangle in harassment, spam, objectionable content, and CSAM, and are looking to provide tooling for the Fediverse, as well as trauma resources and training for moderators....
