Social Software Hacker Theory #1 – Conflict-Encouraging- vs. Discussion-Encouraging-UI-Design on the Fediverse (fungiverse.wordpress.com)
The Efforts to Extend ActivityPub (wedistribute.org)
ActivityPub has remained the dominant Fediverse protocol over the past few years. In that time, many bright ideas have come on how to improve the spec. Here’s where those efforts are today.

Ask Fediverse: can you please stop downvoting posts in communities you do not participate?
Ok, I get it: the majority of users on Lemmy are browsing by “all”, which puts a lot of content on their feeds that they are not interested in. I’ve already got in many arguments to try to explain this is kind of absurd and everyone would be better off if they went to curate the communities they are interested in. But I...

A Simple Improvement for Bots
If a human posted every 5 min, got 0 upvotes for 20 posts straight, we would ban them for spam. If bots would limit themselves to posting once a day, or once a week, and only post the top-voted non-duplicate post of that timeframe, it would be a dramatic improvement. For once, we might actually see real-lemmy posts along side...

How long does it take for the fediverse to "forget" an instance?
I made the choice of hosting some Fediverse software on a domain name I own, however that piece of software (Akkoma, upgraded from Pleroma) has since become unacceptably unstable, and I’d like to switch to something else. I read that if I’m already federating with other servers, I shouldn’t switch software on the same...

Why was the post about that weird lemmy contributor removed?
Either its no concern for the Lemmy community, then it should stay because it may be an issue for the fediverse in whole or its a concern then it shouldn’t be deleted.
Creators of 'Loading Artist' and 'Extra Ordinary' comics have made communities on Lemmy!
