Hey fellow users of the Fediverse, instance admins and platform developers. I’d like to see better means of handling adult content on the Fediverse. I’d like to spread a bit of awareness and request your opinions and comments....

I still have many different accounts on matrix, lemmy, mastodon, etc. and although you may communicate somehow, it doesn’t work properly.

So here I am sitting on lemmy.ml which is defederated from threads (and which I chose primarily for that reason) and I see a comment from the user above....

To those who have used both which do you prefer overall?...

I’m happy to announce that the a.gup.pe Mastodon groups now federate into Lemmy. Previously they were just empty communities, but now they’re being filled with content. Fantastic news....

I mean we can sort by new or hot or active etc. But can we add more algorithms that people can then choose. For example id love to be able to have an algorithm that allows me to rate communities so I could say rate a meme community 1 and a chess community 10 so I only see the best of the meme community and most of thr chess...

Anyone aware of a conversations fork with support for unified push notifications? Or a similar xmpp android app with omemo (just the same as conversations’ support) and unified push notifications support, available through the official f-droid repor or a f-droid repo if not available from the official ones?...

disroot.org provides several decentralized federated services, as email and xmpp, besides other cloud services as well… But not sure if asking here is right or not, but don’t know anywhere to ask either…...

Hi folks! Today I have asked myself if I could login with one (no, not google or apple or micosoft) account in all the (30 I think) forums that I have to use as a FOSS admin. Nextcloud Forum, Ubuntu Forum, Mint forum, Makemkv Forum, Papermc Forum, linux.org, etc....

In Germany there’s an app called “Jodel”, which is essentially like a localized reddit/lemmy. That means, you only see posts from people near you (the default is something like 10km, I think)....

How should I do this?...

I’ve wanted a badge that shows the instance uptime and couldn’t find any, so I created one. It’s available at uptime.lemmings.world/{your-domain}.svg and gets its data from fediverse.observer....
