why does the fediverse not serve the authentication problem?
I still have many different accounts on matrix, lemmy, mastodon, etc. and although you may communicate somehow, it doesn’t work properly.
Lemmy.world deleting posts with archive links and posts questioning the decision.
Lemmy.world has somehow decided to become to extreme defenders of “copyright” and decided they will now delete posts that contain archive links in an absurd move that not even corporate websites like Reddit do. Archive links provide a service to provide access to an article long after it is deleted or changed....
Why was the post about that weird lemmy contributor removed at [email protected]?

Why so many POST requests?
I’ve been running my self-hosted one user Pleroma (like Mastodon) instance. When I discovered Lemmy I started following some communities from it and also posted some comments....
If in the era of federated social media, large tribes/collectives/factions will develop - which one would you join? (possibly with reference to SF e.g. Expanse, Star Trek, Dune)
Diaspora* - is it any good?
I just read up on it and it seems good, at least in theory. How does it compare to Lemmy, would you say?

I never got into mastodon because I couldn’t connect multiple instances. I like this a lot about Lemmy so far (just here for a few minutes though)....

Why is the hot sort for lemmy so… bad? The top of my feed when I sort by hot is all completely new posts. If I wanted new, I would sort by new.
