After listening to a few clips of The Silmarillion narrated by Andy Serkis, I am interested in seeing if I could actually get used to listening to audiobooks. I usually can’t focus enough on audio alone to keep up with a book but now I’m thinking it might be more of a narration quality thing than anything else....
What non-fiction book could you just not put down? Was it a biography? Some obscure textbook? A collection of papers or speeches? Share your suggestions below!
I realised the other day that I’ve enjoyed lots of murder mystery games and shows, but I’ve hardly read any mystery novels. The only ones that come to mind are Altered Carbon and some of the Discworld Watch novels (all great!)....
The book starts out with a girl with magic eye on a flying ship to catch magic sand only she can see. She has no memory of how she grew up. At the start of the journey a man destroys the ship, but safes her. During the book(s) it is reveled that the man and she herself are basically here to destroy humanity because humanity...

Playing about with Obsidian lately as a note replacement app and started treating a portion of it like a books list, read, currently reading, notes etc and I just think it’s neat.
My go-to writer in bad times and good times and all the times in between. If you love witty humour, try it. Or start with the TV show with Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie (although there are so many funny things in those stories that can’t be done on screen)
Wow, what a great adventure! If you haven’t heard of it, it’s about an English sea captain who gets marooned in Japan around 1600, and has to adapt to Japanese culture. Lots of politicking, romance, and decapitation. Very loosely based on real people too....
I am your average 37-year-old woman. I game, I read, and I have cats. A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon Azariah Kyras’ glorious speech about the Blood God Khorne, and I started quoting him at least once every day when my boyfriend and I were talking about random everyday things. He suggested I look into the Warhammer Universe....
