Every time I try to upload an image to Lemmy, an error occurs. Any ideas?

The Lemmy web frontend is terrible (on desktop, at least). I have to click on every single image for it to load and it’s just generally ugly. Any good alternative frontends would be greatly appreciated. I checked some of them and they are either not loading or as bad as the original one.
