I love ratchet straps, but I can’t seem to find any extra-short ones. I have two anchor points about 6-8 inches apart that have a slight obstruction between them (so not a straight line)....

I remember finding them on the Internet somewhere in the early 2000s. I remember that Kimi was one of them, so it would have to have been after the second movie (Rugrats in Paris). Anybody remember these things? I can’t find any details about them online.

airline offers both the qr code and the boarding pass as a pdf (but I don’t have a printer at home). I screenshot the qr code (front and backside) and downloaded the boarding pass to my phone. No services from google were used....

I only have a few local news website and a few tech news feeds like arstechnica. But most of the tech news I get is from Lemmy itself....

Could someone explain why we can’t just plug the average PC etc into a ‘raw’ internet line (like just entering a house) and have a mini modem on the motherboard do the translation work?...

I know it’s not the most engaging or thought provoking question, but I’m having a bad day and would really like to find a space to vent

I’ve been using lemmy for a while still i dont know all of its nook and corner or even how to properly use markdown in lemmy. I’m using voyager now and I dont know the major improvements of other apps....

I know a lot of people but I find it really difficult to maintain contact with most of them. I can manage a few in my close circle and some acquaintances but definitely not more than 20 people....

Was cleaning out my storage shed and found a bunch of vhs movies (no home movies) in questionable state. Is there anything worth doing or should I dump them (think they can be recycled)? Before it’s said, I don’t think they’re worth digitalizing imo.
