Since Day One (spez’ fuckup) I have been trying to use and like lemmy but it just doesn’t work right at all. Like as in never did. Communities disappear randomly, posts don’t load, submissions have no comments, you name it. At this point I am considering going back to reddit just like everyone else I know that used to care...
Sometimes it can be hard to tell if we’re chatting with a bot or a real person online, especially as more and more companies turn to this seemingly cheap way of providing customer support. What are some strategies to expose AI?
I’m really enjoying lemmy. I think we’ve got some growing pains in UI/UX and we’re missing some key features (like community migration and actual redundancy). But how are we going to collectively pay for this? I saw an (unverified) post that Reddit received 400M dollars from ads last year. Lemmy isn’t going to be free....
I’m not too tech savy. I’ve searched online and found two methods that use Google Play or my Google Account, but for the life of me I can’t find the settings I’m supposed to find. And also, wouldn’t this information just be stored on my device? Why do I need to ask Google about my phone ?...
I’ve been searching for a used Thinkpad for so long, and the shipping price from the USA is ridiculously high between 80-120$, so I’ve been looking for any European options on eBay....
Are there any comprehensive websites to use for a car problem?...
after reading www.wikihow.com/Clean-a-Keyboard and other sources I used a 75% isopropyl alcohol solution to clean my black and grey plastic notebook’s keys and surface....
I had to deal with a really poor education during my school years, so, for that matter, I have for a long time been (re)teaching myself some of the subjects I (didn’t) learn at school. One of those involves economic ideologies/systems like communism or capitalism....
Like everyone I’m struggling to keep my data on Google drive below their limit. This is fine. I’ve been gradually deleting photos from my drive and transferring them to my own storage....
This question is rather specific, so I know it’s not going to get many answers, but any answer is appreciated....
I just had this thought while filling out a form. It’s pretty unlikely that anybody has seen a picture of themselves riding a motorcycle on a CAPTCHA but it’s not impossible and would be pretty cool!
This is intended as a very abstract philosophical question....
Just the title. Launcher: Kvaesitso Android 9 Honor 7x...
Today, I got to thinking: what are some of Lemmy’s“go to” ways of maintaining focus, or getting their focus and concentration back after becoming distracted or being pulled away by other things “demanding” attention?...
Who doesn’t know the feeling? Something brings back the memory of a song you haven’t heard since 2009. Back then it was playing on TV all the time. You look it up on YouTube. It totally has those 2000s vibes. All the comments are also “omgz I just remembered this song after 15 years !!”....
See title. I have to scroll past a lot of German and other non-English posts in my feed. I’ve been blocking them as I see them, but it’s getting tiring. Is there not some way to just tell Lemmy the languages I speak and have it show me only those?...
When they say that “they have an army of lawyers” or that Disney has more lawyers than animators and things like that, do they tho? Is an army of lawyers really effective? Do companies actually have an “army” of lawyers to redact and sign documents?
I was looking at “spy earbuds” but they just don’t seem too practical, even the real expensive ones I found are still disposable batteries only and I just don’t wanna drop that kind of money. I do however wear glasses and looking online I see they average about $30 for a pair of bluetooth enabled ones. My only question...
