I’m struggling to figure out where to ask what happened to my favorite Lemmy instances. Is there a community I’m not aware of that might be a good place to ask these questions?

Right now I just use the body of my image posts and write something like “alt text: meme name and used text”.

I appreciate most styles of posts, even shitposts (when done well) and memes. That being said I don’t always want to see 90% that in my feed....

Do they get unhidden on new activity? I assume not. Would it be plausible to implement the option to hide seen threads until new stuff arises and maybe dictate the amount of new comments till it shows up again?

I’m someone who just much prefers reading to watching YouTube — I like being able to go at my pace....

Whenever I click a link, any link, on lemmy.ml, the UI always renders in Chinese and a half second later renders in English....

For me it was Jeff Kinney. I was meeting a different author I love, but there wasn’t enough room downstairs and we had to go up. Turns out that’s exactly where Jeff Kinney works! He’s the author who got me into reading so I thought that was so cool
