No, I am serious about this. I wish to get back into the learning of reading, but as a beginner I am repelled by the intense use of vocabulary, literary devices of classical literature books or intense and difficult-to-follow storyline of modern day fiction. Ofc Mohammed is the most common name but thats a name common within the muslim community. I have noticed the name Sarah in every country, regardless of race or religion. Or it might be an abrahamic religion thing but thats most of the world atleast....

All religions have it’s own myths, own stories, own set of values. And these are/were good stories, I mean, even though they are not true, they are certainly interesting. You won’t feel bored by it....

Hells Angels are moving into my area for the first time. I have a generally negative view of them, but have some friends who feel otherwise. I would love to hear your experiences related to the Angels specifically, but “1%” clubs as well.

There are simply some communities I can’t find on Lemmy. For example, I use subreddits based on admissions to specific colleges that would never be able to function on Lemmy due to its size. I’d much prefer to abandon Reddit altogether but the information I need is usually only there.

My instance has (already) decided to not block a particular instance, which in the majority I find to be divisive, at best. I keep missing the instance source in the user names, and it’s the single biggest source of bad lemmy experience....
