Hey all, I have a Samsung S22 and got an update this morning which has forced on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. Disabling the new circle to search didn’t make a difference....

Imagine it, not a repo, but a site or app that lets you “try out” custom roms through an embedded or emulated interface....
In addition to Private Space, Android at I/O 2024 is really working to boost the mobile operating system’s theft, security, and privacy protections.
Google’s migration guide for developers lists what they’re supposed to switch to on Android phones and Wear OS. However, there is no replacement for the Goals API that lets Google Fit users set “how many steps and heart points they want to aim for each day.”
It’s a very long story but ultimately all you need to know is, i have to make sure an unknown app isn’t sending an assload of traffic through port 25 on any network im connected to. How can I confirm this on my android device without an external PC?

I realise I really miss that feature from 10 years ago. Any (foss) app doing that?
Every 6 months or so I go looking for a solution to this problem and still haven’t found one....
I’ve been looking around to find a good, privacy respecting way to sync my messages between phones. I decided I’m going to use SyncThing so I don’t have to mess around with a server. The only problem with this is that I haven’t been able to find any apps that work on modern Android that routinely backup and import...

I personally like to map it using an app called keymapper so that it controls multimedia
I own a handy asus x00p with android 8 that fits my hand (released in 2018). I have a newer android 11 device (released in 2020) but it’s larger and heavier and I don’t really like using it....
Bloody Samsung think a base S24 for €900 is cheap. Not to mention the shitty Exynos it comes with in Europe.
I’m ready to debloat (with universal-android-debloater), but before I do that Id like to backup the OS in the device to my computer....
It’s cheap and it’s the only one of the G family that supports Boost Mobile (don’t know why the other ones don’t). It would be for a family member who may need to replace an Android 8 phone. For stupid reason I have a couple of prepaid Boost cards, so being able to use them is a plus, but the phone’s low up front price...
