Has anyone noticed that we haven’t really heard of a new app in awhile? I feel like the last time I heard about an app on the news or on Reddit(in the past) in a long time. The last big one I heard of was the Threads app....
Whatsapp’s UI is so outdated. There are mods out there that look 100 times better. Android users are basically carrying Whatsapp. They really should look into improving the experience on Android. I would love to see them implement Material You.
First of all the upgrade removed my pinned contacts and apps, so I had to start the game of whack a mole all over again. The default suggested apps and contacts were apps I never used and people I never contact....
My first Android phone was the HTC One M8. I got it because at the time it made my iPhone 5 look like a chump. Bigger screen, unrivaled stereo front speakers, much more internal storage you name it....
I installed non google based keyboard and voiceboard, apps I can use, but each time I turn the device off, I’m prompted to use google’s boards and asked to say something.

So I would like to relock the bootloader on my galaxy tab s6 lite 2022. I have the official Samsung software still on it. I couldn’t do the update without plugging in the tablet using smart switch. I would like to be able to do OTA updates again....
I use Komoot for wild walking and biking, and it’s incredible. Hugely more accurate and reliable. Just wondering if there’s something like that for city and intercity travel. Thanks for suggestions!
I have a TrueNAS server at home and thought I could easily connect it to my phone (Pixel 7) as a network drive but was surprised to learn that Android doesn’t have a built in feature for that....
