As much as I would like to see Russia get shitmixed by a proper first world army (not that Ukraine hasn’t been doing phenomenally), I think that might actually put putin in a corner.
Ideally we’ll just keep giving Ukraine equipment and propagandize how hard they’re kicking russian ass and sanction the hell out of Russia until the people and oligarchs lose their appetite for Ukraine.
Draft soldiers of Germany are not allowed to operate outside of our own borders and are used to fill the gaps that stem from professional soldiers working abroad. The Bundeswehr and especially the draftees can only be used for peacekeeping, humanitarian aid and defense.
How about our military stays between our own borders. Let those that want to go go. But don’t force a bunch of our youth to go fight someone else’s war.
This is going to boost the insurance rates I would imagine. Prosperity Guardian is going to be spending money on protecting a handful of the most risk-tolerant ships/crews. The only other traffic will be non-genocider/enablers stuff that won’t be targeted anyway.
Insurance rates for western ships have indeed gone up already, and I think it’s safe to say that Prosperity Guardian is a complete and utter failure at this point. Yemenis continues to effectively blockade the ships of genociders that try to go through its waters, and US is completely impotent to stop them.
I hope Farage leads reform, that will reduce the Tories even more.
We actually do need big reforms in this country. I hate Farage for brexit, but credit where credits do he did something I thought was impossible. Hopefully he can help push through some much needed reforms in the UK which the party stands for but they will never see power.
I cannot put into words how much I hate first past the post, its the worst voting system. Also why are there are so many people that have land money and power because of William the first gave there ancestors land, Lords needs to end. Immigration is way too high, bringing in as many people per year as a large city and targeting house building less than half that is a crisis. This country is doing pretty badly but a few big decisions and it could be a lot better. As bad as reform are, they are right in some ways and the less power the tories have the better.
Edit: Guess people like the Tories or they don’t understand FPTP voting.
The more votes Farage gets the less the Tories get. Right win people aren’t going to vote for the green party so it’s good that there is a right wing party 1 splitting the vote and 2 pushing for actual good things so yea as unpopular as it is I hope the tories lose seats and more people on the right want changes to be made.
You’re right, but I think the idea of Farage being in charge of pushing through any sorts of ideas (even if it’s reforms that are good) is making people uncomfortable, which is what could be read from your first comment.
Let me understand this. You hate Farage yet you have hope in him. The electoral, honours and Lords systems certainly need reform. The Tories are corrupt and self-serving whose only interest are the party and business. Brexit and Teeside.
Yes the man gets things done see brexit. You don’t have to like someone to see that are able to achieve things.
So if you hate the tories why wouldn’t you want reform to get more votes? As per the article they won’t get any seats but if farage runs then the tories will lose even more seats.
Seems like a reason to want farage to run. Yet that’s an unpopular view?
Brexit was done with lies and misinformation and you praise it like it was the masterclass of politics, I suppose it’s not entirely untrue, but it isn’t a happy thing for most
I didn’t say it was a happy thing. I said I didn’t like him for it.
Doesn’t mean he isn’t good at achieving things which he is. Jesus are people so one sided they just blind to anything positive unless their side did it.
Brexit was an absolute shower of shit, I never said otherwise. That in no way makes anything else I said untrue.
We have net migration of 750,000. Do people even think about how much that is? If we need that many immigrants we are a failed country. Our education system needs to be vastly improved.
But that’s not the point of this amount of immigration largely. We are only aiming to build 300,000 houses a year and yet we have a housing crisis and are taking in net, as many people as a large city each year. The reason is to keep wages low and house prices high.
It’s so rarely the people in the cities who actually live and work with immigrants every day who don’t want them. It’s the small village people who suddenly have 1 brown person they don’t know how to interact with.
If you actually read the article it doesn’t seem to be about the money:
Mr Constantine said: “It was horrible. I hated it because we have a very diverse workforce and lots of people who probably wouldn’t be welcome in Russia.
“We had a partner of 20 years in Russia who never cheated, never lied, and we had to tell him we weren’t going to supply him anymore.
(The Telegraph doesn’t close some of their “quotes” for some reason)
One side is doing Genocide and colonialism. The other side just tries to live in peace. Wanna know how they got peace in South Africa? They kicked out the white nationalist government
My intent was not to put equal blame on both sides. But if Israel wants peace and good relations, it won’t happen unless the people of Palestine are agreeable to the terms. And just accepting some cease fire or peace agreement doesn’t imply they like the terms, it just implies they prefer those terms over being bombed and invaded. They will need terms they can be happy with otherwise there will be another terror attack down the line and the cycle of violence might start up again.
Realistically, I don’t think this situation will be resolved in a way that eliminates violence completely. But they might be able to get to a place where they can agree to blame individuals involved in the violence rather than blaming the other group.
And yeah, as long as the current regimes have power, it will be hard to separate the intent of the individuals from the groups.
He was an off-duty pilot catching a ride in the jump seat behind the pilots in the cabin, which is completely normal. The guy being a fucking lunatic is where things went wrong.
He was running on over 40 hours with no sleep. The shrooms were out of his system, since he had taken those over 48 hours previously. The lack of sleep caused him to have a disassociative episode. The airlines caused this, with their policies and corporate culture, and are desperately trying to absolve themselves of responsibility so they can keep overworking and underpaying their employees.
This isn’t a railroad car. Deadheading on aircraft mean the company is getting you from one place to another. You’re on the clock, on duty, and generally must be provided a seat in the back.
Jumpseating (usually for commuting) is when you travel on your own time, own dime, typically done before or after a trip. You may be provided a seat in the back, but if there are none you may be granted access to sit in the cockpit jumpseat. You are on duty when jumpseating and considered part of the crew.
