The word "daddy" has been so sexualized to the point to where if I have kids (highly unlikely scenario, since I use Arch Linux), I'll just have them call me "father".
I think for my money the X series of games (X3: Albion Prelude and X4: Foundations) are some of the best singleplayer space empire-building games out there. They’ve definitely got their faults, but they’re highly moddable and people make some overhaul mods that let you have more or less the exact sort of experience you want to have in those games.
Definitely check it out, 100% a different game. Especially carrier combat, they've added some special commands that deploy the squads in an area and it works really well.
At one point, I found a complete set of ROMs for every single game on retroachievements.com. It’s almost assuredly out of date by now, and I’m not saying it would have every single Vimm ROM…. But there would be a lot of overlap. If any are already wiped from Vimm and nobody has a backup, let me know and I’ll do some digging to see if I have anything comparable.
