Could we also possibly have something where we can see “the weight of media bias” like with an app like Ground New? It would be neat to be able to be factual as well as inclusive. What does everyone else think of that?
I will have to look into that could you provide me with a link. On a personal note I hate paywalls. They are dangerous when people need important and relevent information.
I swear it feels like for a lot of the things I do on Linux there’s a GUI app for it, but then if I wanna do something as basic as adjust my fan speed I gotta use the freaking terminal.
Like it’s always at the worst possible time.
Edit: I’ve installed a distro on my gaming PC that I really liked, used it on my laptop. Sensors and fans were fully supported. Did not work at all on my PC so I told it to fuck off. It’s just too much of a pain to set up.
Please don’t. Revanced has been around for well over a year now and is actually maintained. Vanced was abandoned ages ago. Revanced is significantly less buggy, has options to block shorts, and has Sponsorblock built in now.
APK mirror is great for getting the right Youtube APK version to patch with Revanced Manager though. Revanced also supports Youtube Music, pretty much giving you the premium features for free.
Oh. Part of my job is making complicated procedures and sometimes it helps to print them out and go over with a pen. Didn't realize that doesn't work for code. Now I know!
It wouldn’t be such a bad idea if there weren’t IDEs that would help you review your code more easily.
Think of a text document you would scan for typos. Sure it would help you to print it out and read it on paper. But finding them with words auto correction is much faster.
This kind of auto correction is also present in IDEs (integrated development environment / the program you use to do the actually coding). You can also jump from one part of your code to another part for a quick lookup or analyze it with its help.
So printing it out not only doesn’t let you editing it it also slows down reviewing / debugging / refactoring it.
and apart from what the others said, if you’d decide to print the code for some reason, printing colored text on black background would be pretty wasteful way to do it
Likewise - it's only happened a few times in my life, but there have been moments in a 2k-line long SQL stored proc I inherited that I needed to print the thing off and user markers to try group code up and figure out what was happening (it was a monstrosity with no formatting or comments lol)
But yeah day to day, even year to year nobody is printing off their code to look at it - let alone only 20 lines of it lol
YouTube Premium feels pretty bearable as is. I'm not really sure what I'd want it to do besides have the option to turn the algorithm on and off. When I leave 5hrs of Bob Ross on for my dog for an afternoon I would prefer that not counted in future pushed content.
Isn’t there an incognito mode for that too? I don’t really use it but I’m certain I’ve seen it.
That said, I canceled premium because I don’t really use it now. Originally paid for it after buying a house and DIYing a lot. Now I’ll stick to the extensions and see if I hang in there.
