I was a Relay users. One of the things I liked is that it would open a lot of things in overlay windows. Like youtube videos and such. Basically it had handlers for lots of file types and websites. Did sync do anything like that?
Yes, it did. It had native handlers for YouTube, imgur/etc. If the native handler had an issue (e.g. YouTube blocked it unless it was in YouTube’s player) then you could break out to an internal or external browser.
I was a relay user for a good while but I switched to sync after I saw just how feature rich it was. I think you will be happy with sync if you liked relay. Hopefully it will be nearly the same experience for lemmy!

My dog is cuddly, but from a distance. So she'll lie on my bed, but back-to-back with me, not draped over me. Or have her paws stretched out touching me. But she's not much for actual hugs or being petted while trying to rest. So it's still special the rare times she lies on me like this. The ultimate trust.

I’ve actually found it to br far better than reddit, mostly because 99% of reddit posts these days are bot reposts of an jmage that’s been cycled a LOT
I generally have pass of 15+, since the decisions I do this for can potentially hurt in different ways (mostly financially, as in “should I buy this thing?”). So I’ll do a best 2 out of 3 to see if I’ll do the thing vs not.
I know 😭 when he dropped the mushroom piece I was devastated. He figured it out though in the end! And now he has a buffet to munch to his heart’s content!
