This started happening in my high school a few years ago, Everyone seems to think that they did it to make it easier to catch people doing weed by closing half of the bathrooms at any given time. It’s super annoying because the bathroom closest to my classes are always the ones to be locked for some reason so I have to walk across the entire school (the school is really big) to get to an open bathroom and when I do get there it’s usually so dirty and crowded that it’s almost unusable.
Yeah, I was kind of shocked nothing like it existed. When I searched I think there was one mainly 3d printer specific maker community on a small instance, but I like a bit broader scope and lemmy.world seems more populated. Hope the content creators and reposters find this place!

I had a friend who had one and it looked amazing! Just like a real console attached to a TV, and indeed it was basically a portable Sega Master System in design. I only had a gray-scale GameBoy so the display on the Game Gear was incredible by comparison.
I do remember my joy, when finding out that instead of feeding it with batteries, I could even use the power adapter of the master system to play with the Gamegear. 😄
