Bought a car, it's tyre repeatedly deflated every 3 days, kept taking it into the garage and they said they'd fix it each time. Third time, drop car off, they tried telling me its the cold weather thats causing ONE tyre to keep going down.
I tell them thats bullshit, take their courtesy car for the day, I had a 40mile commute each way. The hire car had 20miles of fuel in it so had to find a garage quick.
When I returned it that night, I had to nurture it home, and it ticked over to 0 miles left as I free-wheeled into their forecourt. I had some satisfaction that day. That day, they actually fixed the tyre.
I've got a neighbor whose cat is veritable feline Houdini... he gets out every so often. And usually, it's to come over to my green house and steal carrots. (yeah, don't ask. he doesn't eat them. doesn't take them home. We have no idea what he does with them.)
Don't ask questions. just embrace it. (I've gotten to catsit Sykes on a few occasions now. the old man is a blast.)
Is it weird that I’m partially relieved seeing this post? I found all these weird apps on my phone the other day and thought I had been hacked or something. whew…?
The worst one is when it only supports up to like 16 characters but doesn’t tell you so it will only use the first 16 characters and ignore the rest. The next time you need to enter it and get the 64 character password from your password manager it will just say it incorrect and you’re left with no idea on why it’s wrong.
To order through their site, I try to use the places own sites instead of justeat etc so they get more of the money. As you can imagine they aren’t the best websites though.
Somehow, your post has made me really see them as a predator for the first time in my life, and picturing myself on the wrong end of a buffalo-sized mantis has left me terrified.
They're always such cute little buggers, and I love finding them. Easily among my top 3 favorite insects.
At my work they wanted better security, and made the rule of minimum 12 characters, must include all sorts of numbers, special characters, etc, no previously used password and it must be changed every month, 3 attempts then the account is locked and you have to call IT.
The result was that people wrote their passwords on post-its on the screen, so it led to worse security overall and they had ro relax the rules.
