I hadn’t even heard of Lemmy until a few days ago. Maybe it’ll ride the momentum. End of the month there will probably be another influx, considering the reddit changes.

Let’s hope so! Some of the communities are a bit empty still. Hopefully it’ll change. :)

I worked at a nursing home as a cook, I guess it was a nice one? We had a nutritionist and made like cafeteria food, then chopped half of it up for the people who had problems, then puréed it for the ones who couldn’t feed themselves.

Profit has become a tyrant. We used to make people happy in its name, now we shape everything in its service.

There's a ticket to fix this on kbin which would allow each instance admin to block regular users from registering common names of authority: https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/issues/359

There’s no way these are not bot accounts. I heard there’s a lot of instances with no sign-up validation that are just being flooded by requests.

Soylent drinks can be found in the beverage section in Walmart (PA, USA at least). I think they are plant-based protein drinks?
