It’s a group effort so if nobody in your country uses it then it’s going to be a lot less helpful to you.
I don’t know how it gets started in an area because presumably everyone else you know would get the same experience as you when they sign in so how does it encourage people to start building the knowledge base up?
I know that it works in the UK. My wife has used it and found a lot of useful info but had to add her own info too.
Yeah, it isn’t a good look for flathub. I looked at the certificate and the Subject Alternative Names section was missing the www prefix. Why they’re not using Let’s Encrypt and certbot beats me because this could all be automated.
I use the DNS-01 challenge to take advantage of wildcard certs. Every 30 days, I have a cron job force a renewal, send a SIGHUP to nginx and I am back in biz. Ez-pezy
I had UrBackup running for 6 months+. It wasn’t reliably backing things up, configuring it to be accessible via Internet is almost impossible, adding clienta is a hassle and the config isn’t very user friendly.
Furthermore I got the inpression, that it’s backups aren’t reliable; restoring files without UrBackup might be impossible.
That’s why I’m now back at a incremental rsync backup script. It’s reliable, you can just restore things by copying them back via ssh and it uses a lot less space (!!!) than the UrBackup backups.
Posting about the annoying posts, sure to stop further posts from happening 🙄
Just block the subs you don’t care about (shit posts and Reddit are a good starting point.)
Personally I love seeing people coordinate to shit on another mega corp and I’m not gonna get triggered by less than 10 posts on my front page (that go away after I view or interact with them)
