The stainless steel made it very heavy, and it was underpowered. That's kind of a joke in Back to the Future, getting to 88MPH is non-trivial.

It was faster than all highways in the country at the time. Highways were limited to 55MPH at the time.

88 is pretty fast, but not really time-travel fast. People frequently drive 80-95 on some roads in the US, especially now that speed limits are commonly 65-75 and as high as 85. I also recall when 55 was the standard.

    There's a (great) game called Disco Elysium, in which you play a semi-amnesiac recovering alcoholic detective who is only partially attached to reality. The character pictured there is your partner, who constantly questions why you do things that may be mundane, like browsing fantasy novels in the bookstore, but are in no way helpful to the murder you're supposed to be solving.

    I actually wrote MinimalGPT as a project for myself because I found using ChatGPT annoying for certain things.

    It’s just a minimal chat client where you provide an OpenAI API key for GPT and you’re off to the races.

    Conversations and all data (besides the messages you send to OpenAI) are stored locally to your browser.

    minimalgpt.app, it’s also a PWA application so you can save it to your mobile Home Screen for a full app experience.
