    House Rules means House Rules. They’re very easy to follow for people who don’t regularly play.

    Signs aren’t considered for pairing. If you have a 5 and a 4 both hearts it isn’t a pair. That should go without saying but I wanted to be thorough.

    Doubling would be easier to work with if I were making a custom interface for it, custom betting gets more convoluted.

    So are we saying I might get more participants if I used a standard poker tournament scoring system?

    This pic reminds me of when every punk rock music video had to use this fisheye lens. I liked that aesthetic, don’t know if it’s just the nostalgia or a genuine appreciation of the form but it always exuded cool.

    jim OP ,

    Thanks - I only had my iPhone on me, this is a panorama taken from floor to ceiling with the wide lens selected. I liked it more than the regular shots from the evening.

    What’s going on with these clearly political shitposts that actually make zero fucking sense? I’ve seen dozens of these over the past week. Do mods exist here? Do mod tools exist on Lemmy? Where am I? Who am I? So many questions.

    Postmortal_Pop , to lemmyshitpost in Oh no, anarchists!

    I don’t really get what this is implying.

    FeelzGoodMan420 ,

    No one understands it because it makes no sense.

    MoonJellyfish OP ,
    @MoonJellyfish@lemmy.today avatar

    Yeah, I have no idea what it might imply. Expected someone of you to decipher it…

    Carmakazi ,

    My take is that it’s a joke of “what anarchists think they do” as the top comic vs “what anarchists actually do” as the dilapidated trap house.

    I’m not an anarchist but something tells me that going to Lemmy to shit on anarchists wouldn’t be well-received.

    Eggyhead , to gaming in Which one should I play first?

    Play in order of release so you can appreciate the evolution in game mechanics.

    I find it really funny that every mutual aid group I’ve found has been very welcoming until you let them know you’re disabled. Regardless of how you’re willing or able to help. Good ol anarchists.

    Lordbaum ,

    I am Anarchist and can be counted as disabled (okay yes neuro diversity is a grey area) never happened to me.

    Tangent5280 , to lemmyshitpost in Oh no, anarchists!

    Ooh, looking at the vote counts it is clear this comic made somebody big mad.

    FeelzGoodMan420 ,

    Uh…not really. It’s being down oted because it simply makes no fucking sense. Stop looking for controversy where there is none.

    TexMexBazooka , (edited )

    But mah anarchism!

    Rules are lame!

    Just start from the beginning and get ready. You’re in for one hell of a ride. One of the best gaming experiences out there for sure.

    majestictechie , to gaming in Which one should I play first?

    Collection > 4 > Legacy

    arran4 , to gaming in Which one should I play first?

    Played 4 first, if you do that you really notice the retrocons etc. I figure in order probably works best.

    reric88 , to gaming in Which one should I play first?
    @reric88@beehaw.org avatar

    Yeah, like others have said, play them in order starting with 1. If you play them backwards or out of order, you aren’t very likely to finish the first one, maybe the second, the first is kind of a slog, but worth playing. This way they just get better each time you go to the next

    helpmyusernamewontfi OP ,

    was just curious if like other video game series the story isn’t in sync with the time they were released if that makes sense

    Broken ,

    They are very much in sync. Even though each game and story is independent, characters have history and the games are part of that.

    Enjoy! It’s a great series

    any1th3r3 , to gaming in Which one should I play first?

    The Nathan Drake Collection. Uncharted 1 is a bit rough around the edges, but I would recommend going in order of release either way.
    Enjoy, those are wonderful games! (I might be slightly biased, Uncharted is probably my favourite video game series tbh)

    Kolanaki , to gaming in Which one should I play first?
    @Kolanaki@yiffit.net avatar

    I’d just start at the beginning with the Collection. Pretty sure the stories connect but even if they don’t, seeing the mechanics evolve backwards or out of order can be annoying. Like you start with 4 and then when you play 2 or something and a mechanic isn’t there that was nice, it kinda kills the experience. Starting from the earliest point and working up makes it feel way better as they begin to nail down and improve things.

    But that’s just me.

    Crankpork ,

    Similarly, 2 was my first Uncharted, which I played partway through at a friend’s. When I got my own PS3 I decided to start back at 1 and found it did a much better job of teaching me how to play the game than 2 did. When I went back to 2 after finishing 1, everything I had trouble with was so much easier, and it was really need to see the jump in graphics between the games.

    gotta say I’ve actually been pleased with Lemmy moderation so far. First time I got moderated I think was one of the admin peeps from my instance telling me to take a chill pill, which was fair and appreciated. And I think that’s probably similar for the couple other times I’ve been actioned so far. I can’t complain, FAFO, and mod/admin peeps seem pretty chill and level-headed about it. I only wish I could say the same about reddit mods, before a bunch of them became Iana’s sexist minions. But so far the Lemmy communities I’ve wandered into don’t seem to have that problem quite yet which is refreshing.

    Also for any ex-reddit mods reading this: if you find IDU/turtle/poodle on the fediverse, avoid them. I will not hesitate to go scorched earth should I have another encounter with them. Otherwise, should we never cross paths again, I’m prepared to let it all go, since they did manage to convince myself and at least dozens of others suspectible to The Pipelines to leave Reddit.
