Although I don’t have any direct experience with any of this, I deny your lived experience of not having that problem - I think you’re a lying liar and that thing you like is bad.
I’ve been riding one pretty hard for my job for half a decade. It’s pretty nice actually, I like the 2-axis touch scrolling. I wish it had a middle click, it’s way too expensive, and last time I tried to get it working with Linux it was a fucking nightmare.
BetterTouchToolUI and set a middle click gesture. I consider that software mandatory for Max OS, and it’s ridiculous that the features aren’t built into the OS.
Because greedy, selfish assholes are very, very good at abusing and ruining a society for their own benefit. Keeping them out of the way and from making trouble is the only way the kind of society OP posted about would have any chance to survive long-term.
We really need to find a way to do that. Maybe entice them away with a kingship on Mars, or something?
I think the solution is for all the non assholes to work together to stamp out the assholes and remove them from having power. Incredibly difficult, but not impossible. It’s the same class war that’s been waged by the wealthy for decades. Theyve never stopped attacking, we just suck at working together and have allowed them to gain waaaay too much ground.
They’re always going to be on the bus, but we can at least push them to the back where they can’t fuck with where we want to go.
It’s not a rolling release though, right? I mean mint is nice, but I am absolutely pleased with my experience using debian testing as daily driver for years while it just stays perfectly up to date and never breaks (as opposed to arch or even manjaro).
