A gaming community free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it’s price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don’t meet the system requirements, or just haven’t had the time to keep up with the...
I know this is clutter but the music legit has some hypnotizing nature to it, lol
While the !worldnews community has always been a little feisty, the flood of Redditors has turned much of any contentious subject into pure mud slinging. Take the recent post “Ukraine war: Kyiv claims its first victories of counter-offensive”. The discussion featured these insults:...
This thread is where all the takes from idiots (looking at you Armchair Warlord) and screenshots of twitter posts/youtube thumbnails go.
I’m considering setting up a NAS to backup my stuff and replace Google Photos. Currently I’m looking at Asustor AS6704T and Synology DS923+, with the former having more powerful hardware and hardware encoding, and the latter having a better first party software experience....
The Android 12/13 UI really grinds my gears. Excessive amounts of whitespace, and the notification shade has become “kiddified” - Turning off wifi/mobile data now takes 2 taps, the icons are all ridiculously big and takes up so much screen space, etc....
Modding on either Reddit or Lemmy seems like a lot of work. It’s like a part time job where you don’t get paid. What do the mods get out of their labor?
After rarbg went down, I got into a private torrent site. They expect everyone to maintain a certain ratio, which is reasonable, but there is actually no way to build ratio. The seed-to-download ratio is ridiculously high for all of the popular torrents, and new users aren’t allowed to post their own torrents. (As a sidebar,...
Looking for some games where it feels like you’re actually trying to solve something with the clues and secrets you uncover. For example, Disco Elysium actually made me feel like a detective despite how wacky and surreal it could be....

Hey everyone, im new here and i was new on reddit. I’m not sure what happened to it, but i only used it occasionally for the piracy megathread that i can’t view anymore. I found this on here, but i can’t find the ‘Courses’ section. Do you guys know where i can find it? Thank you in advance
I appreciate fiction, but I almost always read nonfiction. It’s probably because I typically choose the books on topics I’m interested in and want to learn about. But I also love the way a great nonfiction writer can weave a narrative so strong that it’s just as much literature as it is journalism....
I just realised that the MegaLinks subreddit wouldn’t have had to close up if it was selfhosted on the fediverse, the idea of independent servers for each major sub is fascinating....
I see many posts asking about what other lemmings are hosting, but I’m curious about your backups....
