Every time I plug in my Quadcast S USB mic into my Arch Linux box, I can’t properly go into deep sleep. Unplugging it before attempting to sleep makes it work again, but its annoying to have to do that every time. How do I debug this and where do I even submit a bug report for this?...
Theoretically speaking of course ;)...
I heard that the All feed aggregates content from all communities that instance members have subscribed to, meaning if I subscribe to a new community, it’ll start showing up in everyone else’s All feed....
I am your average 37-year-old woman. I game, I read, and I have cats. A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon Azariah Kyras’ glorious speech about the Blood God Khorne, and I started quoting him at least once every day when my boyfriend and I were talking about random everyday things. He suggested I look into the Warhammer Universe....
I’m looking to replace the log book at work. I thought somebody must have made a simple docker container that allows someone to put in entries into a database for things like daily activities, guest logs, maybe even tracking fuel deliveries. Is there anything out there or and I going to need to remember how to make websites?...
With Threads/Meta heading for the fediverse, and Tumblr looking at ActivityPub, how would you feel if Reddit decided to add support and federate Kbin & Lemmy?...
I can only find websites where you need a subscription or pay for each music sheet.
I don’t know if Reddit is just trying to be a dick or what, but as I started to delete some comments, I’m not able to see any comments in my profile “hasn’t commented on anything”, but if I visit actual posts where I’ve commented, I can clearly see my comments there....
I have a self hosted media server, and I want my family to use it more so I don’t have to do everything for them. I think the best way to do that is to have a wiki available on the local network where they can see a reference of how to use things. What is the best way to accomplish this?...
Curious as to how many others do this, or if I am just crazy. Anyone else buy physical copies of games and movies and play/watch a pirated version to keep the original product sealed? Do you have a different method or do something similar?

It seems like its a perfect distro. Rolling release so you get recent packages and dont have huge upgrades every few months, but not so bleeding edge that it breaks often. YaST is pretty cool but you are not forced to use it. Basic installation gives you enough essential stuff, but its not too bloated. The only thing its missing...
Can anyone who has experience with both share a recommendation? I’m interested in the user side of things for ebooks (no comics) but also ease of installation and maintenance....
I used Relay for reddit and would like a app that works similarly....
I’ve seen a lot of posts about the Red Hat situation, and it made me want to talk about something I’ve been thinking about for some time....
Looking to get back into RSS feeds, what are your favourite readers? I used to use Feedly years ago, still a good option?
Anyone know if I can just get a long usb extension cable and plug in a Bluetooth 5.1 dongle to extend the range of my controllers into another room?...
Which is the better protocol overall based on the current information?
What do we have here?...

I have been in IT Management for close to 15 years and I really don’t like it anymore. Has anyone out there in Lemmy-land ever moved into a technical role after this many years?...
I’ve been thinking about a taxonomy of Roguelikes that should help us speak more clearly about this genre - or group of genres - that we love. I’d rather do this than just call things “roguelites”, which basically doesn’t mean anything. So here we go!...
