Ya know what? I’m really enjoying Lemmy. The Fediverse is (at present) smaller than Reddit but feels welcoming and at the same time much more “exclusive” (?). It’s just that you have to make the effort to join the Fediverse… …and I’m not going back. I’m getting as much out of Lemmy as I was getting from RIF but...

I have Plex, Radarr, Sonarr, Overseerr etc running in Docker containers, but have never found a good guide on how to access these (safely) from outside. I resort to connecting to a server running VNC. I’ve tried nginx but didn’t understand it, also tried Cloudflare (ditto). Is there a good, easy to understand guide on how to...

I just used the tool linked here in the documentation to create a Bootstrap theme, but I can’t find the folder they’re referencing. I’ve used Ansible to install Lemmy, which is working fine, but I’m not really sure how to handle themes as a result. Do I place them somewhere in my Ansible stuff, or is there that directory...

Why YSK: So it’s easier to find communities here. For example I was able to find monster hunter community. Even if you have a different server you can still join. If you check the right side of the screen and follow the instructions so that you can subscribe to that community....

Why YSK: No matter how many times you try with English at certain times it may not go through. It can save you time by just not selecting a language the second try.

For context, if you are shy or uncomfortable having your pictures taken, please reconsider! My uncle passed away due to cancer a few years ago and we realized that he didn’t like his pictures taken… So now all we have to remember him by are a handful of pictures.

I never liked Reddit. I used to only use it for an hour or less a day to follow tech and IT communities....

I’m highly curious if there’s a way to use ActivityPub for a game, so servers could all see each other in a novel game? Hmm. Maybe mix in ReadyPlayer.Me or similar for avatars? 🤔
