Hi. I got a new instance of Lemmy up on my server, but outgoing emails aren’t working with Gmail. I have a paid account with Gmail, and previously have used outgoing mail with other services(like phpbb and Mastodon), and they worked. If you can provide some help, that would be much appreciated. Thanks!
like history, relationships, federated instances, communities, anything?
How/why did saying things like bless you or gesundheit start? And when?
So, I have used spotify premium for a long time and want to switch to using MP3 files. Is there a way I can find all of the songs I downloaded using SF Premium and copy them to a drive? TIA Comrades
Can be from any genre. Mine is when an acoustic guitar comes in towards the end of a song and totally changes or reframes the mood/energy (see “Money” by Widowspeak)

trying to make a near 100% foss build lol
Arrrr my fellow pirates, I wanted to install Starfield, but I seriously don’t know how. I already downloaded a .rar file, but I don’t know what else to do with it. I run Arch Linux.
Is that one ip address or one device?
So I am currently running stacer, tbh idk if its working good or not lol. Sometimes my computer still flares up randomly with high CPU usage and the fan going, but I try to use htop to pinpoint, but that tool is probably way more in depth than I know. I’d rather have like maybe a daemon? Or always on app that automatically...

Hi All,...
I was thinking about that when I was dropping my 6 year old off at some hobbies earlier - it’s pretty much expected to have learned how to ride a bicycle before starting school, and it massively expands the area you can go to by yourself. When she went to school by bicycle she can easily make a detour via a shop to spend some...
I’m using a PaperWM which is a scrolling window manager extension for Gnome, and I love it! But it’s an extensive extension which means it is sometimes brittle. I’ve thought it would be nice to find a window manager that is natively designed with a workflow that I like. There don’t seem to be any actively-maintained...
A similar question was raised some day’s ago from a other person, but with different background. In this case, I would like to buy a nice gaming laptop. Of course I would use it for office and coding to, but primary I’m searching recommendations for gaming. I would like to play Wine/Proton game’s and also native Linux...
I apologize in advance because I’m sure these probably feel like some stupid and duplicate questions. However, my attempts to find answers to these online have been met with answers that are sparse, oftentimes old (8+ years), and conflicting. I am looking into getting a seedbox. I decided to go with Whatbox because they seem...
Spoilers below, I want to complain, not ruin anybody else’s experience with the game....
My system runs perfectly fine, but I noticed that udev was not installed. So I tried running yay -S udev and that seemed to install systemD, which got a bunch of errors and warnings along the installation. Very unexpected coming from such a foundational package. Here is the output from yay -S systemd (there is some german in...
Recently installed Linux Mint on an old computer. I put my old RX 590 in it. I only upgrade from the 590 because on every boot on my windows machine I would need to go into adrenaline and underclock the GPU a bit to stop it from crashing when I tried to play games. Adrenaline isn’t a thing on Linux so I have no idea how to go...
