Professional Kingdom of Loathing player, I guess! I may spend more time on other things, but other than biological necessities, KoL is the only thing I do every day no matter where I am 😁
Using KolMafia for configurable automation and tons of other helpful scripts and the wiki to look stuff up helps tremendously! If I had to go without either, I’d probably burn out pretty fast too lol
Not gonna lie only game I play on mobile is clash of clans. I don’t play mobile often and don’t spend money on it either. Been playing since middle school though off and on.
Friendly reminder Bloons TD 6 is free for Netflix customers. Unsure if that’s all counties or restricted or tier restricted. It’s been pretty fun, but the best aspect is offline play.
Oh yeah, there’s actually a fair bit of good games on Netflix if you have a subscription. Unfortunately, they’re online-only even if they’re singleplayer… I hate subscriptions…
Sonic Mania, Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, Into the Breach, and Wonderputt are pretty fun. I haven’t tried anything else.
Of all the games I played on Android I think Monument Valley was the only native mobile game that I really enjoyed. I also played Stardew Valley on mobile, that worked quite well.
Definitely more stable than Arch. Plus, you can easily roll back if something breaks, and you can choose which packages should use the unstable branch while keeping the overall system stable, which I find amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever had a breaking update, which I can’t say about Arch.
The problem I have with Nix is that you can effectively forget about running random programs or GitHub projects. You either package everything the Nix way or nothing works. As a developer and someone who often likes to try stuff out, that’s really annoying. And Nix, the language, is ass, so is the whole build system. Nobody can convince me otherwise.
It’s not really the same thing though, those are filesystem snapshots, not package registry snapshots. Think of Nix generations as blueprints of how to construct your OS and environment, not the files themselves (though those are certainly required). I’m not quite sure how to explain it, but it’s a lot more powerful than what basically amounts to a backup.
I agree with this, not being able to install things globally or use other package managers like pip was really annoying. I didn’t spend that much time with it to be honest, but just simply trying to set up a dev environment wasn’t fun. Also I’m pretty sure elixir doesn’t work on nix at least when I tried it
You should say “unstable channel”. It’s literally just a rolling release that pulls from the nixpkgs master branch. So it’s only as stable as it needs to be to pass the Hydra CI tests.
And if you get to a working version, you can pin that as a Nix flake to avoid anything breaking until the next time you nix flake update.
My husband and I don’t watch TV together a lot, but Sunday nights are the one night a week we set aside for it. I often find myself looking forward to Sunday evenings when we get to catch up on our favorite shows and hang out. It’s also typically the only night of the week I eat ice cream, so it’s an extra treat.
I’m usually busy enjoying my Sunday evenings and don’t even think about the fact that the weekend is ending.
If you want to avoid squishing your junk, I recommend buying some elasticated boxers that are just a LITTLE bit tighter than you would buy for every day wear. Keep your business pulled in close and tight.
As for avoiding workouts… theres a lot to unpack there. The short version is “You have the DNA you have” no amount of a “Bikini body” workout is going to give you tits or a BBL booty and any workout that mentions “Targeted fat loss” is bullshit. Situps do not burn belly fat. Workouts for bodybuilding and workouts for functional strength are different. Workouts for cardio and workouts for conditioning are different.
But what might build a bunch of muscle and functional strength for a 60kg woman might only qualify as a warmup for me, programs written for women will likely be different because (THIS IS NOT SEXISM) men on average carry more muscle as a percentage and less fat. Workouts programmed for women tend to have more cardio and lower weight. Not to say that you couldnt do that workout and hit it with intensity and get results, but its likely to be suboptimal.
If you’re interested in learning more about exercise science Dr Mike Isratel of Renaissance Periodization on YT has some fantastic and easy to digest videos (not exactly geared for beginners but theres some very quality insights if you find the right videos.) As well as James Smith, Dr Pak, Jeff Nippard and their associated friends.
I think the term you’re looking for is called Sexual Dimorphism, and I have only ever heard edge-lord-feminists call it sexism. Most feminists that I have met acknowledge it.
Edit: to be clear while the conversation of gender equity is in part concerned about sexual dimorphism, the human species as a whole is sexually polymorphic. However the discussion of Turner’s syndrome, Klinefelter’s syndrome, ect is tangentially related.
