I'm using wefwef right now and it is surprisingly good.

Tbf wefwef is by FAR the best PWA I’ve seen. It feels native.

I am new to Mastodon but have enjoyed Mona the most so far

@MonaApp

I think it may also be worth noting the “in app purchases” seem to be actual purchases not subscriptions

Cheers

I want to know if the proton unlimited subscription is worth it?

mawkishdave ,
@mawkishdave@lemmy.world avatar

I changed over to it and I am very happy with Proton. The only thing I don’t use is the new password keeper.

lav ,

thank you! its all pretty confusing, I’m thinking about open source as well, AnonAddy and simplelogin seem great and being open, I would be more than welcome to donate in the near future if I come to like their work. I just find different tools for email/passwords/vpn, mildly irritating

rikudou ,

I’ve been using AnonAddy for a few years, can recommend.

AFAIK forcing it to a lower number is fine if you’re not doing HA. I remember reading something along those lines on a forum, but I could be remembering wrong.

If you’re not using Ceph or HA, then I don’t think there would be any negative effects from not having all the servers in the cluster ready.

Oh good, I am not using any of those at least not at the moment.

MangoPenguin , to selfhost in [Rant] … all I want is dropping some files into a directory and call it a day
@MangoPenguin@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

Docker containers do pretty much solve that, drop a docker-compose.yml file in place, maybe tweak a few lines, and that’s all.

MangoPenguin , to selfhost in Any recommendations for a DIY smart doorbell?
@MangoPenguin@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

You could use an ESP32-CAM board with a button, maybe add a speaker/mic if needed. It looks like the project linked by the other comment is basically doing that!

HobbitFoot , to nostupidquestions in If feet can be a sexual fetish and Nickelodeon produced many scenes sexualizing teenagers feet, then can those scenes be considered CP?

I feel like the individual scenes in media wouldn’t be, but a collection of them together probably would get the collection treated as such.

@entropicdrift@lemmy.sdf.org avatar

I use Mint, Arch (technically Asahi), Debian, Ubuntu, and I used to use Manjaro.

They all have their places. Mint has the best UI/stable no-fuss desktop experience, for instance.

KindaABigDyl ,
@KindaABigDyl@programming.dev avatar

Arch does not have a place though. It’s just a more buggy Arch with a worse maintaining team

EDIT: Actually, tbh it’s incorrect to even call Manjaro Arch. That’s an insult to Arch

Shareni ,

Don’t forget that it’s repo has less packages and that they’re delayed by two weeks for absolutely no reason. Not only opening users to potential hacks, but also messing up AUR package installation.

Manjaro is Arch’s glue eating cousin

You can also copy and paste the image with Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V directly into the post or comment. Then the only think left is adding the alt text.

explodicle , to youshouldknow in YSK: How to embed images accessibly on Lemmy

Question for Jerboa users: how do you zoom in on one of these comment images? They’re frequently too small to read.

megahertz ,

I’m guessing it is in settings? Also a jerboa user. But I am seeing the comment images at a reasonable size. I’m using the dark theme, and I think I changed the font size, but it’s been almost a month since I first installed, so not super sure.

explodicle ,

Hmm, I don’t see anything for it in the settings. Some of the pictures are a reasonable size to me, I was thinking like pinch and zoom or something.
