I’m assuming you’d need an account specifically on endlesstalk.org to use these frontend?
I’m already moderating a few communities so completely migrating to a new instance is probably not worth it for me (and I’d prefer to keep my sdf.org connections)
I’d love it if these alternative sites could use a login from a different instance somehow, basically operating in the same way a mobile app does
Yeah, for the frontends setup on endlesstalk.org you would need an account there, but the developers of the frontends have setup their own, where you can use an instance you want.
Pay it off. New car loans should not be more than 5 years and used should not be more than 3. You risk hitting a point where you’re paying payments and repairs at the same time.
It’s called a “money shift”, and, assuming there isn’t a gate or interlock in the transmission to stop you, you will massively over rev the engine, and destroy it.
I’ve been wanting to create a “catch up” resource for any sort of media, but I don’t have the time nor the skills to do so. I imagine, though, that within a few years you can tell Chat GPT the last thing that happened in the story and it can bring you up to speed.
A different kind of advice: be vigilant with security updates, and remove services you're not using.
Using insecure software makes it likely you'll get hacked sooner or later, especially if automated scans can find your server. (For example because it's listed in a search engine, or part of some network like the fediverse).
Cat toy? Probably not. Stronger lasers can absolutely mess up the pilot’s eyesight and put you in jail, but a low-powered one is unlikely to cause harm. Still, never shine anything at an airplane.
My mum has been a single mum her whole life, and when I was a kid she couldn’t always get the most popular games but I believe she was told Lemmings would be very good. She got an entire box set, including a Christmas edition! At first I was of course distraught, until my brother installed it on his PC and I would constantly ask to play it. So many hours went into it, and it’s not the first time my mum had really surprised me with something I didn’t know I’d end up appreciating so much. I think I still have it somewhere…
Thank you, I often do. I sometimes show her the Pacman game she got me whilst abroad, thinking it was Pokémon Yellow, and reminding her that I actually really enjoyed it and wouldn’t have known about all the various collections of Pacman if she didn’t follow my very crude description of Pikachu (which thinking back, could have been describing Pacman as well lmao).
She’s going through chemo treatments, so it’s more important to remind her of these things. For me at least.
