Better tools for graphic design. Maybe a port of the Affinity suite or a big push towards GIMP, Inkscape, and Scribus development. GIMP… I feel like people dreamed for more than a decade for essential photo editor functionalities like CMYK support and non-destructive editing. At least the first one is coming in the next version(partially).
Would absolutely love for Serif Labs to create a port for Affinity Photo and Designer. Of the programs I’ve tried, those two have the closest UX to Photoshop and Illustrator without the software-as-a-service model.
Hell, I’d even take it if all they did was support it working under WINE. While I would prefer a seamless UI that fits in with both GTK and Qt, it’s understandable that they might not consider it worth the effort.
I switched my design workflow to FLOSS tools exclusively. Krita is a perfectly competent photoshop replacement, Inkscape has been developed at a breakneck pace in the past year, the workflow is different, but it’s every bit as good as illustrator, and Scribus is great once you get used to the workflow. If anything, Scribus’ workflow helps you plan and structure your projects better. IMHO FLOSS tools are absolutely ready for professional work, but you cannot expect the workflow to match existing proprietary tools.
Hi there, keeping this post up given its a great question that is generally applicable to those of us brand new to Lemmy and you did share your own experiences with Jerboa. I would just flag for future reference rule 2 and that questions usually belong on !askandroid.
I don’t currently have an Android tablet but I find the web-based ones like Voyager/wefwef work well on larger displays even if they’re not designed with them in mind. We also have a list of apps if you haven’t already seen it: lemdro.id/post/4319.
Conan Exiles - pity tencent monetized it, I had well over 1000 hours and had no intents on quiting until they riddled a 3 year old game with microtransactions.
Ark - Dinosaurs are fun. Nuff said. Mixed feelings on the upcoming news. Remastered and the delays with 2 have me debating different games.
Eco - was a great community game. It’s dying out a lot due to the slow update process these last two years. Water updates were something I was hyped for 2 years now, and it still isn’t out yet. <.<.
I had close to a thousand hours in Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops II back in the day, but i was in middle school and gaming was the main way me and my friends hung out outside of school
If minecraft accounts tracked playtime id be at least 1k there over the years if not much more
On steam I have close to 600 in rocket league, havent played it in a while but thats the most played that i can verify
For a single game it's Factorio. Steam has me at around 1600 hours.
For a series it's gotta be Civilization. I've been playing since I was in fifth grade. I'd go over to my friend's house when he wasn't home to play Civ I. I'd spend entire weekends in college playing Civ II and III. I had to have my GF hide my Civ V disk so I wouldn't miss deadlines. And now I'm on a full playthrough of all the new civs in the latest DLC.
Breath of the wild for me. The switch only counts up to 500 hrs and I know I’m probably double that. 100% the game on master mode with very very little help from guides. I just love that game man. TOTK is great too but my heart is still with BOTW
Nope that was the one thing I needed help with at the end and there was one ruins I hadn’t visited that contributes a little towards completion. Like I said though, over 1000 hours easily on the game.
Mine should be Monster Hunter with roughly 2-3 k hours across the series. But single-game most played hours should be Final Fantasy XIV with a little more than 1.5k hours.
To be honest: Im not proud of any of this. Most of the time was accumulated when I was much younger and I wish I would’ve had the courage to engage in meaningful encounters with other people instead. Gaming used to be my main escape mechanism, which helped me get through some rough times, but held my personal progress behind by a good margin. A little playing on the side won’t hurt though, nowadays.
I can totally see how that did happen! It’s at least a pretty social and positive community. Not like I regret the time spent, it’s more like that I regret the missed opportunities I had in RL because of my anxieties. I’m so happy that you found your wife in FFXIV, that means you get to spend your lax time with them, which is amazing!
PH-1 by Essential. I really like the minimalistic aesthetic of the phone. When I bought it, it satified all my needs. Good performance, enough memory for me, not too pricey, it’s small and fit in my pockets. It has crappy speakers but I didn’t care. An ok camera with good performance in black and white pictures. Even today I really love it except for these big points and why I will change it really soon: The company doesn’t exist anymore and the phone doesn’t have updates since some years now. I Could run a different OS but I don’t want to dabble in that yet. I changed the battery not so long ago but even new, it has a really small capacity. I wish to keep it until really broken despite of that (and bescause i’m a bit lazy) I like to keep my things during a really long time…
