I normally use the Aurora frontend, but I used Google’s app to check something. I couldn’t help but notice that when I swiped and then let go, the page would barely move past the point I had let go. It had no momentum whatsoever. As soon as I got past the ads, scrolling was back to normal and the exact same flinging motion...

So I’ve switched to lemmy since the reddit meltdown started, experienced quite some withdrawal symptoms, occasionally turned back to reddit, more often logged out than logged in. Now I am merely using Lemmy occasionally and by far not as often as I used reddit before. No more doom scrolling....

I recently installed CachyOS which comes with linux-cachyos-bore as the default kernel, and I have to say that it does feel a lot snappier to just use and click around, even though I have almost the exact same Plasma setup as my previous Arch install. So now I’m wondering how many great patches and forks I’m missing...

I was looking for a place to share my two favorite Mastodon and Lemmy clients, they are called Voyager Connect Boost for Lemmy and Moshidon for Mastodon (if you are really serious about privacy I recommend Connect still) (the official Mastodon app works fine though, you just can’t follow new hashtags from it)...

I want to use my raspberry pi as a “streaming stick” connected to my tv to stream my Jellyfin library and self hosted invidious instance (not hosted on the pi). Any top recommendations on the right setup? I was considering LibreElec, but was wondering if there are any other more modern solutions.

I have a projector that needs limited rgb range, but for some reason (maybe a faulty hdmi-vga dongle) the intel driver selects full range. I want to force the limited rgb range when I plug the projector, but I need it set to auto normally, because my usual monitor needs full range....
