This remind me of those random flash… Let’s call them creations as they are neither games or animations specifically.
It starts with 1 A and a wait time of thirty seconds, each time you press the big X, it adds an ‘A’, and increasingly multiplies the time. You end up with the AAAAAAAAAAAAA Game, and are waiting for hours.
Does it do anything? No. It is vaguely humorous? Kinda?
I remember a flash animation that was basically the biggest advertisement of itself based off “reviews”, with stuff like “The greatest animation of all time; A must see animation; Better than Lord of the Rings; Better than sex; Better than chocolate; Better than sex with chocolate” - That was all the animation was.
I recently found one of the liveCD I received with Ubuntu 8.04 on it. Canonical was sending them for free for people interested in Linux.
I was in high school and tried it on my first computer, it was my first connect with Linux and honestly I think that without Ubuntu I would not have discovered Linux until much later in life.
I had most of Ubuntu CDs starting from 6.06, I even remember 10.04 or 10.10 which was about the last one they were sending or soon before. I usually gave all of them away in school hoping someone will like it.
Still have this phone but it is getting a bit ragged, really just the battery. Might upgrade to Sony Xperia 1 V or 1 VI soon. Need the headphone jack and microSD slot.
Looking at the specs of this HMD phone, I would not recommend it. The headphone jack and SD card slot are about all this phone has going for it. It’s underpowered, especially for a phone running Android 14. I guess it wouldn’t be too bad for people who just need the cheapest Android phone they can get.
…There also appears to be a hole in the screen 🙃 (i loathe camera holes and screen “notches”).
If you’re also bitter about it, don’t buy wireless earbuds from the phone brands. Samsung, Apple, etc.
Admittedly it’s not a big thing, but I don’t think we should directly financially reward the same people who took the aux port from us.
Sennheiser is good but sometimes at bit more spendy. I like Jabra Elite 8 Actives, for dust/dirt/sweat resistance. Maybe the sound isn’t quite as nice, but I’m fine with it. And Jabra isn’t a company that took the aux port out of our phones.
Do you want to just block all sound or do you want the extra features that come with active noise cancellation headphones like speech passthrough? What you are proposing doesn’t exist because it makes no sense, active noise cancellation is done by recording the audio outside the headphone, inverting the amplitude and attempting to align the phase to cancel it out in real time.
In reality active noise cancellation only works for more or less constant sounds below 1000Hz, anything higher than that and the headphones block exactly as much noise as any other pair of sealed headphones.
You will get better noise reduction with IEMs than headphones, deep insertion headphones like Etymotic beat the pants off Bose for noise isolation at every frequency, are cheaper, and as a plus sound better than any noise cancelling set you can buy.
