emeralddawn45 , to gaming in Hook an old FPS gamer up. Anyone else fondly miss "assassin mode" from Soldier of Fortune (2000)?

Didn’t halo 2 have an assassin mode? It’s been a long time since I’ve played but I think I remember it being similar to what you described.

That's in the category of "new" titles that I missed. (Loved the first Halo though) Anyone still playing 2? I may have too check it out if so.

Very similar ideas as Trump and Sanders, sort of populist socialism.

Trump might be a populist but he is in no way a socialist

Holy shit that’s the stupidest comparison I’ve seen today.

Your ideas are very similar to Epstein and Buddha.

I really enjoyed it, the random pop culture references didn’t really feel natural to me, but you could say it makes sense in the context of the characters. Definitely excited to see where the sequel goes.

From the linked article…

Whether the release date is connected, ticket sales were veering on scary as the comedic thriller debuted in third place to a lackluster $24 million. Competition was heightened as “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” remained unexpectedly strong in their sophomore outings, collecting a combined $140 million over the weekend. Of course, nobody anticipated the power of “Barbenheimer” when setting the film calendar.

That’s a long time to wait for highway construction to complete. Nowadays, we complain when it takes longer than a year.

Qualanqui , to youshouldknow in YSK: Imperial units are based on the metric system

I like using imperial and metric interchangeably on small measurements, like saying an inch is way easier than 2.54 centimeters, same with foot and 30cm, and most people get what you’re saying especially when I was doing construction/engineering. Beyond that though it does get a bit silly and very arbitrary.

PeleSpirit , to youshouldknow in YSK: Imperial units are based on the metric system

YSK this too:

In many other European languages, the word for “inch” is the same as or derived from the word for “thumb”, as a man’s thumb is about an inch wide (and this was even sometimes used to define the inch[4]).
