Will no-one rid me of this troublesome whistleblower?
This is insanity. There needs to be a fully resourced investigation into this plus forced government takeover of Boeing if evidence is found of their involvement. This going unpunished would be so incredibly damaging to society not to mention a total perversion of justice.
Unfortunately Boeing genuinely has become “too big to fail” and we’re all going to suffer through this until it becomes untenable like Union Carbide/Exxon or it gets ignored and quietly resolved without address the core issue
Significant stock market presence in investment funds and retirement portfolios
Prime contractor for US and global civic and military aviation
Military angle cannot be ignored here, both for geopolitics, force readiness, and domestic politics, with production purposefully scattered across Senate & Congressional districts
Major ‘banner’ exporter of airframes globally, which in turn locks in lifecycle purchases and repeat business to the US vs foreign firms like Airbus/BAE/Rostec
Having it be privatized/hostile government takeover would be chaos not just administratively speaking, Boeing has achieved integration throughout the economy and political machinery
although Clearview did carry out data processing related to monitoring the behaviour of people in the UK, the ICO “did not have jurisdiction” to take enforcement action or issue a fine.
So one of the world’s worst data privacy pigs has found a legal loophole. But that does not justify their actions.
It simply shows how much these laws still need to be improved.
You rank BK as worse than McDonald’s? I only ask cause I’ve worked at both, and I would put McDonald’s just the tiniest bit lower than BK. Wendy’s is barely better than both BK and McDonald’s.
Not going to say they’re good, but it is wild as fuck how much of a difference franchises can make. There are several BKs in my city, but a select few are owned by a different franchise than the majority of the others. Their food is WAY better, consistently, than the others, and it’s usually a lot fresher tasting.
McD fries are too soft and when they get cold they are absolute garbage. They almost seem soggy, without getting wet. BK have a crunch to them. At least this is the case in the UK.
I sent my sister a bottle of fry sauce that she’s been trying to find for years (she never thought to check Amazon lol), this is what she sends me back. Told her she was supposed to use it to enhance good food, not make terrible food tolerable. not Mmmm
Burn whatever you want, hate whoever you please. It is unpleasant however better than the thought police sending you to the ice prisons for ungood ideas. This idea that censorship stops anything but innovation and creativity is ludicrous.
I agree…civil society should be intolerant of hate and its idols. The state, however, as a control structure, is a terrible judge of whom to hate and whom to love; Danes should be proud their government has done better than most…and strive to keep it that way.
The state must protect all its inhabitants from physical harm, educate on tolerance and empathy, and from there, abdicate who to love and hate to its citizens.
It took rescue crews two hours to pull Wyatt Kauffman to safety on Tuesday after falling off a ledge at the popular tourist site’s North Rim.
Wyatt told a local television station he had fallen while moving out of the way so people could take pictures.
He said he had been squatting down and holding onto a rock with one hand when he lost his grip and started to fall back.
“After the fall, I don’t remember anything after that,” he told Phoenix television station KPNX while in hospital.
Wyatt was pulled to safety by a team from the Grand Canyon National Park, who rappelled down a cliff after deciding a helicopter rescue would not be possible due to the terrain.
“We’re extremely grateful for the work of everyone,” said Wyatt’s father, Brian Kauffman, who was home in North Dakota at the time of the accident.

If this were a plot point in a movie, I would have called it a contrived excuse to have the heroes scale a rock wall.
And now, many of the remaining accusers seem to be reluctant to push forward. Almost like the christmas was a coded message to people he has dirt on, but Hollywood’s never associated with people with delusions of spy novels. Clearly all those people were clout chasers.
I’m so glad we have all these new anti terrorism powers to stop all the terrorists like checks notes the ones who don’t want us all to burn and die for the sake of temporary corporate profits. Wait that doesn’t sound right, oh well at least we’re also using the against other terrorists like checks notes again YouTubers exposing government corruption… wait no what about checks notes whistleblowers exposing government corruption… for fucks sake there must be better examples… frantically checks notes …the lawyers of whistleblowers exposing corruption… Fucking hell I give up this is totally fucked
Because it highlights it internationally and brings more attention than if they didn’t. Attacking/protesting the corporations which are most responsible for the situation we’re in has shifted public consciousness to understanding.
Human activity and wealth flows like water: through the path of least resistance. You can’t affect change unless and until it is easier not to use oil than it is to use it.
