Ya, I don’t think she went “home”. I think she ran away from an abusive home and then after she became a legal adult she went to a police station to let them know she was alive and ok. She likely waited so she could not be forced to go back to her parents.

A verdict of not guilty doesn’t mean he didn’t do it, it just means it couldn’t be proven to a high enough standard. It doesn’t mean he DID do it either, but if he did and his accusers ended up being punished for false accusation, that would send a chill down the spine of any person who has been assaulted and is thinking of pressing charges on their abuser.
Yep, going after accusers should be something that only happens in extreme cases, like the accused being able to prove they weren’t even in the same State at the time or in some other way being impossible for them to have committed the act.

Nazis might just be the only distinctive group of humans I have never met that I hate. The feeling is quite a lot stronger than against communists which is more like a practical worry. Communists are (often) fine as people I think, they just think very wrongly and want to guide societies into harmful directions. Well, this is interesting in the way that I’m able to say to you exactly what you told me. And apparently both of think we’re in the right. You should also be courageous and see behind the obvious propaganda that you’re happily feeding on. You’re being lied to and the west is actually the more benevolent party in this. Big waste of money IMO. Makes way more financial and environmental sense to just move the highway a couple KM away(buying land as needed) and widen it there.
It is in farmland, but it’s also smack next to one of the country’s major arterial routes to the southwest, and a two-lane road (one lane in each direction) at that. So the traffic buildup at peak season can lead to terrible delays. Add to that the gawpers who slow down to look at it, the coaches and tourists and it’s just always been an absolute nightmare. If you ever find you might need to be on the a303 in that area after 4pm on a Friday or Sunday in the summer, change your plans.
A short term and way cheaper potential alternative would be putting up the green fencing you see alongside airports - make it Impossible to see the stones from the road and you’ll solve a good deal of the problems.
This has been going on for decades and will likely go on for a few more. I dont think this is the best use of money when half the country is wondering how they’re going to pay the mortgage next month.
Why don’t they just build a wall to block the view? Seems a lot cheaper than a tunnel. I guess then they’d have to be honest about the design strategy.
