I have an Oracle Always Free VPS. 4 ARM Ampere A1 vCPUs, 24GB RAM, 200GB storage. Will this be a good fit as a server for a Lemmy instance? Are there any issues with hosting Lemmy on aarch64?
Are we doing a TV Tuesday? We’ve just finished watching Annika. It was sort of refreshing to watch a “murder of the week” style show again. The best part of the show was obviously Nicola Walker, but also and Silvie Furneaux as her daughter Morgan. As a listener to the Doctor Who audios, Nicola’s scenes and obvious...

Announcing /c/mobiledev, a new board for discussing mobile development with a specific focus on iOS and Android. Come join us, app programmers!
This is a place where you can post jokes, memes, humor, etc. related to programming!...
let’s do some good. Upvote everything from r/Ukraine so hopefully the front page is covered with Ukraine posts!
I mainly use imgur to upload screenshots using sharex, would appreciate being pointed in the direction of any alternative.

Curious if anyone is working on the codebase for Lemmy. I’m sure we all see a few places where it could use some love....
I’ve created a Nine Inch Nails community at !nin, as r/nin was one of my favourite subreddits.

So I’m about to snooze when all of a sudden before I drift off it feels like I missed a stair in my bed and I start to fall until I’m forcefully woken up by the shock. Like, WTH?! It’s not like a dream where you fall off a skyscraper, it’s more like before you start to dream when it happens.
I’m playing around with my own instance of Lemmy but I keep getting a “websocket connection failed” error in my console. I’m having a really hard time understanding how to set up nginx for websockets - I’m more used to Apache and not familiar with WS at all. Is there documentation hiding somewhere that will help me set...
Simple question. Which distribution was your introduction?...
I’m interested in hosting a small lemmy instance from my home and I already use proxmox for several services so figured I’d start there....
The temptation to try and run across them was very, very strong…
