Looking for a self-hosted home audio system, something like Sonos where you can play music in different zones/rooms and control it from a phone or tablet. Not sure on speakers, maybe something running off of raspberry pi’s or just standalone speakers if that would work. Anyone doing something like this?
So I switched to a pixel 7 from an iphone 10 xs a few months back, and I’ve absolutely loved it in comparison to the locked down nature of an iphone. So I think to look up material you on YouTube for fun, and decide to read the comments and found that people hated it. Quick googling led to me to find two reddit threads and an...
The only issues I’ve had were audio related, first the soundcard wouldn’t work and I switched to a USB mixer, but after waking the computer this morning the USB mixer won’t work and now I have to use the magically working built in sound card. What’s that about?...
Need a bit of help here. I recently updated the nvidia drivers on my machine from 535.113 to 535.129 and my performance tanked. I can’t run anything except for peglin at 14fps. I’ve tried a clean install of nvidia drivers but that doesn’t seem to help. I’m well versed in Unix, but not really with gaming on Linux. No...

Good friends of mine would like a reprieve so they can have their anniversary dinner. I’ve been a camp counsellor and was pretty good at it but those kids were all 6 years old, this one is 13 months old. Adorable kid but I figure maybe some folks here might have good ideas/thoughts/suggestions/crass jokes?
This was something I started wondering about when I was reading a thread about Star Citizen, and about how space combat flight games were much less-common than they had been at one point, how fans of the genre were hungry for new entrants....
Emphasis on the some, as I know all too well the old tale of no one not enjoying [subject] more than fans of [subject]. Also to be really clear, this isn’t intended as a dig at those that don’t become jaded, so much as genuine curiosity....

When i click play in steam i just get back to the installer. Running the SkyrimSe.exe in steam(located in the CODEX directory) doesnt work. I use Arch Linux.
I use ubergeek77 to deploy Lemmy instance on my Debian server, however I don’t know how to make a second one on the same machine. Do you have any ideas how I can achieve that with this method of deployment?
I’m just curious if anyone else tried to get one of the Limited Edition Steam Decks before they sold out. I tried for it (on 3 devices) but kept getting error messages until it sold out. I just ordered the 1 TB edition instead....
All the theories I read have to have a lot of things line up for it to actually start. However know one has been talking about who would win and mainly I think its because there can be no winners this time around with all the new weapons and bomb tech most countries now own.
