Are there any #RightToRepair folks who are working with accessibility equipment? Specifically mobility vans?

The anti-consumer, monopolistic practices in this space are already getting to me and I'd love to get plugged into a network of folks fighting for more options and independence.

In this part of the world there is a very small demand for mobility (wheelchair?) vans, so most are custom modified or imported used.
Most disabled people cannot afford them.
Which makes and models are you looking at, and what needs to be fixed?
For a power chair?

Regular reminder that if you are giving someone feedback on their work, be kind and try to find at least one positive thing to tell them about it. That goes for trainees, authors of manuscripts you are reviewing, and even senior colleagues you think probably don't need a pat on the back. @academicchatter

Interesting explanation about what really went wrong with Optus last week.

The short version: it looks like Optus doesn't control its own core network. Its parent company Singapore Telecom does. Optus just resells it.

Which is why Optis' CEO was so vague about what the issue actually was: she was protecting her bosses in Singapore.
