We should have a national system like how the army uses. There are heat categories and depending on what the heat & humidity are tells you how long you can work for and how long your rest period is. It also tells you how much water you should be consuming for each level of heat. This system kept us safe in Iraq in 130 degree heat so I don’t see why we couldn’t implement it.

This is the beginning of lemmy. Early days means lots of crashing, testing, and rebooting. Do what smart people do and join and second and third instance so when your main one goes down you can hop to the other one and use it temporarily. Also yes sh.itjust.works is down for me right now too.

I would suggest dumping it in a 99% alcohol bath afterwards if you’re gonna wash electronics in water. Alcohol will push out any water that gets stuck in any nooks and crannies and then it will dry without any residue.

What happens when someone needs to call emergency services and pretend that they are calling the pizza place because their spouse is threatening to beat them or worse? Can’t really fake it if the video connects to a dispatcher and not some pimply teen in a pizza store.

You could do a similar thing with miles gear (military laser tag). Basically if you short out two pins in the laser it turns into a fully automatic weapon instead of semi auto. Good times were had in NTC with this knowledge.
