my pronouns are she/it (in english)
in languages with grammatical genders such as french and russian, use the feminine form
i am pansexual (i kiss anyone)
i am a trans girl (god made me trans to delay his inevitable doom)
i think i'm enby or something though i'm not sure (gender is confusing)
i'm a therian (i want a tail in real life)
i am plural. the headmates i know of are:
🌸 lily (host)
🪙 Penelope
🦊 matilda
we don't remember to use the emojis like ever
i drew my avi (it's shit!) but twitter user @jankyoncoming drew my banner
follow requests are set to auto-accept unless my admin doesn't like your admin very much
will probably follow back if it's clear you're not some sort of evil spammer (esp. if you're queer! :3)
dms highly encouraged!
flirting is okay, and even encouraged!
i have a peertube account, it's at @lily but i always boost all uploads here so don't worry about missing anything if you can't follow (this may be down right now i'm not sure)

what do you guys not like about open source chat apps? i'm thinking of making one and i want to know what to avoid

@tauon i find matrix somewhat messy. it's decentralized, but there is an official registration server. and most registration servers use google recaptcha. the ones that don't usually get blocked to prevent spam.

signal is alright, but it's centralized and requires a mobile app to use. even if you just want to use it on your desktop computer.

irc is alright, but somewhat limited on its own when it comes to things like file sharing and encryption.

i also though about creating my own. but i don't know how to do any network related things.
for client software i'd have made a library in a low level language that contains everything a client needs to work, apart from an interface. this way people can easily create their own clients for various platforms.

what language(s) are you going to use?

tauon OP ,

@Haijo7 probably rust, but the standard will be json-based so anything can interface with it
