Angry Call of Duty Fans Are Review-Bombing the Wrong Modern Warfare 3 (www.ign.com)

Angry Call of Duty Fans Are Review-Bombing the Wrong Modern Warfare 3::Poor Modern Warfare 3. No, not the new one. The original one, from 2011. It’s getting review-bombed by angry Call of Duty fans who seem a bit confused about which Call of Duty is which.

What are the gamers angry about this time? Did they let one of those pesky women into the game? Is one of them women maybe a little plain and not a 10/10 waifu for them to jerk themselves into a coma over? Oh no! Gaming is dead. So is satire.

That’s what they claim, but they are liars. We know from the Cambridge Analytica settlement that they let them have direct access to user data, including private messages. And they did that for over a decade. And now they say they’ve changed, cross my heart, and you believe them?

Will they realize the real take away here: when you give the voters power they don’t want abortion bans. They want the opposite.

The Ohio Republican party is going to try to find any way they can to stop this from taking effect, but when will they finally realize that abortion rights are popular? When will they realize overturning RoevWade is an albatross around their neck? They just got destroyed in a red state. It will happen every time it comes up to a vote. They just don’t get it.

Democrats should try to get an amendment like this on every single ballot for 2024 because it would lead to a bloodbath.

The first one is an option, but most of my American relatives will barely watch British productions, let alone anything in a foreign language. The second one… eh, good luck. Sure, there are plenty of talented unknown and new actors but most of them aren’t going to scab when they know things will eventually go back to normal. That would be a really bad career move.

I don’t have any alts in the usual sense, but I do the same thing I used to do on reddit which is switch to a new account every couple months. I just don’t like having all my opinions on everything in one spot long term. The nice thing here is that you don’t have to jump through hoops with a new account like you did on reddit (karma requirements, age requirements on some subs, etc).

He’s the scapegoat for all financial crimes of the past decade. Before him it was Madoff. The rest will continue as normal.

No surprise. This isn’t food, it’s a cool thing to put on your nerd shelf. If this was at your local grocery store at the same price as the store brand no one would give a shit.

I wonder if this was somewhat common or if his parents were just realllly afraid of vampires.

The article says Meta already tried to buy them out four times. So this company is waiting for a bigger payout or they don’t plan to sell. With a court decision on their side they will have much more leverage to force Meta’s hand.

Oh really?

Charged with flavor? Charged with fun? It’s got electrolytes?

It’s not like stupid corpo slogans actually mean anything.

Elon Musk gives X employees one year to replace your bank - ‘You won’t need a bank account... it would blow my mind if we don’t have that rolled out by the end of next year.’ (www.theverge.com)

Nah, he didn’t. He started a company that later merged with the company that started Paypal. Paypal launched before he even joined up.

What would later become PayPal was originally established by Max Levchin, Peter Thiel, and Luke Nosek in December 1998 as Fieldlink, later renamed Confinity,[8] a company that developed security software for hand-held devices.[9] Having had no success with that business model, however, it switched its focus to a digital wallet.[10] The first version of the PayPal electronic payments system was launched in 1999.[11]

In March 2000, Confinity merged with x.com, an online financial services company founded in March 1999 by Elon Musk, Harris Fricker, Christopher Payne, and Ed Ho.[12] Musk was optimistic about the future success of the money transfer business Confinity was developing.[13]

Only the narcissistic ones who need the direct adulation of the people. Most of them are still content to buy politicians and spread disinformation through right wing “think tanks”.

Blame it on teaching evolution, or video games, or moral decay, just whatever you do don’t blame it on how easy it is for unstable people to get a hold of machine guns.

An AR-15 with a bump stock meets all the technical requirements of a machine gun.

The sour notes in America’s most popular chocolate are commonly attributed to butyric acid—a compound found in spoiled butter and, yes, vomit. Hershey denies adding it to their product, and the ingredient isn’t listed on the label, but that doesn’t mean it’s not part of the recipe.

“There’s a man, Viktor Orbán, did anyone ever hear of him?” Trump said, referring to the Hungarian prime minister.

I can’t stand the way he always asks these inane questions so he can set himself up as super knowledgeable as he blows your mind with basic facts. But then he always fucks up the answers anyways.

In some locations it’s behind the counter. And in the picture accompanying the article it’s facing away from the customers so there’s no way to even see the sign.

Yeah, but this guy only usually gets adoring tik tok fans and puff pieces in the media. This is the first time an established art magazine reviewed his work and it obviously pissed him off that this was criticism he and his ad agency had no control over. He should just enjoy his success instead of worrying about the art establishment, because he’s a viral sensation, not a critical darling. He’ll always be a Thomas Kinkade, never a Basquiat. And there’s not really anything wrong with that.

They know they are doomed in the next election so they might as well shift some money to the ultra-rich while they still can.

I don’t think she was blaming her choice on the holy spirit (whatever the hell that is), she was just saying it approved her choices and thus she did nothing wrong.

Utah sues TikTok, alleging it lures children into addictive and destructive social media habits::Utah has become the latest state to sue TikTok, alleging the social media company is “baiting” children into addictive and unhealthy habits.

Yeah, this seems more to do with the content available on tiktok (like pro-gay messaging) rather than anything else. They want it banned so they can create a little fundie safe space. It’s the same reason they want to ban any books from libraries with even a hint of pro-lgbt content.

but I think history shows us that the alternative is worse.

Like, when? What are some examples? Back up your bullshit.

She didn’t even have the same job titles as the people she was comparing herself against.

Foltz also claims that SpaceX uses different job titles for the same position as a way to pay women and minorities less than their white or male counterparts

That is literally covered in the exact part of the article that you quoted. Jesus fuckign Christ.
