Just 3 days until my first book meet. I"m really excited, but also super anxiety about it. 11 people said they're attending, and about 22 expressed interest on the facebook event and didn't say whether they're going or not, so i'm just hoping that I'll have enough space on the weekend. Looking forward to it, but also shitting bricks at the thought of starting this new group and doing people things. @bookstodon

Just started Tehanu by Ursula K. Le Guin. Apparently the later books of the cycle are disliked by fans. I am bewildered by that assessment. I can already tell this is an all-time favorite.

Everything from the prose to the characters feels more mature and meditative. Gender is also examined in a much more holistic and painful way. Several passages have already spoken to my soul in such a deep way that I know will remain with me for a long time

@derpoltergeist @Grizzlysgrowls @ukaunz @bookstodon @philip_cardella @wordstitcher @hawksquill Yep, same here. Being an Aussie, I’ve only ever heard the phrase mother-in-law, as the mother of your significant other. Never as dwelling. But it’s always great learning a new phrase, and sometimes the potential mischief inherent in its usage.😉

Just a mid morning meeting with my 2 editors.

Enjoy your day, everyone has a hard lot, whether it's dealing with your personal issues getting in the way, or yet another full book edit, or just being very sick.

Go at your speed.

Last night I got no sleep thanks to combined conjunctivitis, razor blades for a throat, and a chronic headache (while I wanted to have Full Life 3 fully edited by this point, I'm only up to the start of part 4 out of 5). C'est la vie, I'm afraid, I gave my child-bot a lammington and he's happy so that's enough to make me happy too.

Love you all, Moriarty.

My personal editors, Strumpet and "unnamed" if you go by the official documentation. One torti cat, 2 years, and tabby, 8. Both female.

I'm . The sound of the train blowing its horn as it passes my house makes me cover my ears in pain. But the throbbing bass of the engine that causes a deep pressure in my chest from the vibration makes me feel happy.

When I was a kid, I used to crank up the bass of my parents' stereo and sit directly against the woofer to feel that pressure. They would always yell at me to turn it down. I've always loved that feeling.
