Lemmy.world Should Defederate with Threads

I think it’s pretty safe to say that the majority of us are here to avoid another corporate takeover of our preferred platforms. It would seem to me to be a tad irresponsible to allow Facebook into our space with open arms, allowing them to hoover up our data. I would love to keep using Lemmy.world, but will happily change...

I also think that instance defedration may become a thing of the past and now, with v19, leave it to the user to decide.

That said I’m fully on board with blocking Threads.

Yes, but as this app is designed for people like me who don’t have access to other hardware then factory reset would be my only option.
